Who we are

Michael Donohoe, trading as Lateral Vantage Land & Planning, of Lynton House, 7–12 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9BQ, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you give us through the appraisal or opportunities forms: name, email address, telephone number, organisation, and whatever you tell us about the land or your requirements.
  • Correspondence where you contact us by email, telephone or post.
  • Technical data collected by our hosting provider in server logs, including IP address and browser type. [If you add analytics, name the tool here and set out the cookie position below.]

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the advice you have asked for — on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To send you site opportunities, where you have registered for them — on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering client due diligence and the record-keeping required by RICS.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass details of your land to any developer, promoter or other third party without your written instruction. We share data only with: our hosting and form providers, who process it on our behalf; our professional advisers where necessary; and regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are held for [24 months] and then deleted. Client files are retained for [6 years] after the end of the engagement, in line with our professional and insurance obligations. Marketing consents are held until withdrawn.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email md@lateralvantage.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and uses no third-party analytics. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to deliver the font files. [If you later add analytics or a chat widget, this section must be updated and a consent banner added.]

Complaints handling procedure

We are committed to providing a professional service to all our clients. When something goes wrong we need you to tell us, so that we can put matters right and improve our standards. This procedure follows the requirements of the RICS Rules of Conduct.

Stage one — our internal procedure

Please put your complaint in writing to Michael Donohoe at Lynton House, 7–12 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9BQ or md@lateralvantage.com, setting out what has gone wrong and what you would like us to do about it.

  • We will acknowledge your complaint in writing within seven days of receiving it.
  • We will investigate it and write to you with a full response within twenty-eight days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and when you can expect a reply.

Stage two — independent redress

Lateral Vantage Land & Planning is not currently a member of an external redress scheme. If we are unable to resolve a complaint between us through the procedure above, you are welcome to seek independent legal advice.

A copy of this procedure and our complaints log is available on request.
